James Drinkard named sole finalist for Warner Robins City Administrator

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – James Drinkard has been named the sole finalist for the City Administrator position in Warner Robins, according to an announcement from the mayor and council on Monday.

The city says Drinkard has an extensive background in municipal administration.

According to Drinkard’s LinkedIn profile, he has held the position of Assistant City Administrator in Alpharetta since April 2008. His responsibilities include assisting in the preparation of the city’s annual operating and capital budgets, conducting short and long-range planning studies and coordinating responses to citizen requests and concerns. Drinkard also serves as Alpharetta’s chief communications officer. He served as the Human Resources Director for Alpharetta until April 2019.

“Mr. Drinkard’s extensive background in municipal administration and his commitment to public service make him an outstanding candidate for this critical role. We look forward to the positive impact his leadership will bring to our city,” the city’s announcement read.

A final decision on his appointment is expected by September 3, 2024, with no vote or action to happen before that date.
