UPDATE (1/30/26): An incident report released Friday by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office provides additional details about what deputies called a home invasion on Ingleside Avenue, including how investigators say the suspects forced their way into an apartment while the victim was on the phone with 911.

According to the report, a deputy initially responded to the apartment after the victim reported that Shondria Phelts and several associates had driven by making verbal threats and gestures. The deputy took a statement and cleared the scene.

The report says the same individuals later returned and “forced entry kicking in the front door of the apartment,” with the report documenting “visible damage consistent with forced entry, including damage near the locking mechanism and frame.”

According to the report, the victim was “actively on the phone with 911 seeking assistance when the suspects entered and immediately began assaulting her.” The report says a male suspect struck the victim first, knocking her to the ground, before male and female suspects continued striking her multiple times in the head and face.

According to the report, the victim was struck with “a screwdriver handle used as a blunt-force object,” causing “visible lacerations, significant swelling, and indentations to the skin.” The report said the victim also suffered injuries to her hands and feet and was treated at a hospital.

The report also addresses a prior physical altercation involving some of the same individuals earlier that day. According to the narrative, “records checks showed no prior assault report filed by Phelts with law enforcement.”

Deputies say they reviewed video related to the earlier altercation, writing that “the video appeared to show a mutual physical encounter, and no weapons were visible.” The prior altercation “may have contributed to escalating tensions between the parties,” the report said.

According to the report, deputies determined that after the earlier encounter, “Phelts contacted associates and/or family members following that encounter, after which the reported home invasion and assault occurred.”

The case remains under investigation, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

ORIGINAL STORY (1/20/26):

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Three people are in custody after a home invasion that left a woman injured inside her Ingleside Avenue home, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say they were called to a home in the 2100 block of Ingleside Avenue around 6 p.m. on Monday after a 911 caller reported multiple people breaking into her home. As dispatchers were speaking with the caller, deputies say yelling could be heard in the background before the call abruptly disconnected.

When deputies got there, they found a 27-year-old woman injured inside the home. They say two female suspects and one male suspect entered the home, assaulted the victim, took her phone and struck her in the head with a blunt object before fleeing the scene. The victim was treated by paramedics, and her injuries were described as non-life-threatening. No one else was injured.

With help from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Strategic Information Center, deputies located two of the suspects in the 1100 block of Rocky Creek Road. A third suspect later surrendered without incident.

Deputies identified the suspects as 45-year-old Tasha Porter Fuller, 25-year-old Malik J’Shin Porter and 32-year-old Shondria Adrianna Phelts, all of Macon.

Deputies later recovered the victim’s stolen property in a parking lot near the intersection of Riverside Drive and Spring Street.

Fuller and Malik Porter are charged with first-degree burglary, armed robbery and aggravated assault. Phelts is charged with first-degree burglary, armed robbery and obstructing a person from making an emergency 911 call. All three suspects were taken to the Bibb County Jail and are being held without bond.

The investigation is ongoing.
