Icky weather to stick around tonight before slowing tomorrow

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Middle Georgia will see rain continue into tonight before slowing ahead of sunrise tomorrow.

Light to moderate stratiform rain will continue through this evening and a good chunk of tonight before stopping. Temperatures will stay rather warm as they only drop into the lower 60s around the region. Winds will mainly come from the south-southeast at around 5-10 mph.

Tomorrow

It will be overcast for most of tomorrow with a slight possibility for a few showers during the morning and afternoon. The best odds for rain will be in the northeastern counties of the region, however a shower could occur anywhere tomorrow. Highs will mainly reach the mid 70s around the region with west-northwest winds coming in at 5-15 mph. Gust will likely range from 15-25 mph during the afternoon.

Tomorrow night expect mostly clear skies and slightly cooler conditions (lows in the upper 40s and lower 50s). Wind will also be calmer, and some patchy fog will be possible.

Thursday and Beyond

It will be partly sunny, warm, and muggy Thursday with highs expected to reach the upper 70s with dew points in the low to mid 50s. Some fog will be possible during the overnight hours leading into Friday morning. Friday will be mostly cloudy with the next round of widespread rain likely to move in during the evening hours. This rain will continue through much of Saturday before slowing. Sunday should see cloud cover break up as drier conditions finally return to the region.
