Coroner: Two killed in I-75 South crash in Bibb County

The crash on Interstate 75 South near Sardis Church Road was reported just after 4:30 p.m.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Two people were killed in a crash on Interstate 75 South in Bibb County Wednesday afternoon, according to Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones.

Jones, who said the crash happened near Sardis Church Road, told 41NBC a 61-year-old woman and a 2-year-old boy were pronounced dead at the scene. He said a 33-year-old woman was taken to an emergency room for treatment.

He did not have additional details.

According to GDOT’s 511GA website, the crash was reported at 4:35 p.m. As of 6:10 p.m., the three left lanes are blocked.
