Hundreds wait in line for interviews with Robins AFB during job fair
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Hundreds of job seekers waited in line for interviews with Robins Air Force Base.
The base is looking to fill hundreds of positions. That’s why it held a job fair at Middle Georgia State University, this morning.
Director Eric Dilworth says over 1,200 people attended.
“We recruit for people that already come in with the qualifications, with their experience, and education, but then we also look for those bright and shiny new recent college graduates to bring into our workforce,” he said.
Job seekers had the chance to have interviews and turn in their resumes. Some were even offered jobs on-the-spot.
Robins AFB is still looking to fill engineering, contract specialists and program manager positions.
