Hundreds enjoy Warner Robins’ Localicious Festival

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – It got a little “localicious” down in Warner Robins Saturday afternoon.

It was definitely both local and delicious as vendors from the Middle Georgia area set up booths and showed off their culinary skills.

You could sample wine, fried pecan chicken and beer brewed right here in Middle Georgia.

Local artists displayed their best work as well.

41NBC’s own Sean Cargile and his band The Vineyard Band were one of the many bands to play throughout the afternoon.

Houston County Commissioner Tom McMichael helped cook some fried pecan chicken and was happy to see the community come out.

“This is a great event that’s being prompted by the city of Warner Robins and through their tourism department and things of this nature,” said McMichael. “I think it’s a great event overall we have music, we have art, we have food and also a lot of great people–that’s what’s so important.”

McMichael also said he felt events like Localicious moved the community in a direction everyone wants to go.
