District attorney announces sentences in three Houston County felony cases
The cases involved public indecency, a gang-related shooting and child pornography charges.

HOUSTON COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Three men were sentenced in Houston County Superior Court this week in unrelated cases, according to Houston County District Attorney Eric Edwards.
Public indecency case
30-year-old Demarcus Tyrell Mann was sentenced on Friday to 15 years with the first 10 to be served in prison after pleading guilty to three counts of public indecency. The guilty pleas were entered October 30.
Public indecency is typically a misdemeanor in Georgia but becomes a felony after two prior convictions. This case marked Mann’s sixth conviction for the offense.
According to the release, investigators linked Mann to three incidents at Houston County insurance agencies on June 13, July 13 and July 29, 2024. Authorities said Mann entered the businesses under the pretense of transacting business, spoke with female employees, then exposed himself and masturbated in their presence. Each victim described a pitchfork tattoo between his eyes. Mann was arrested July 31, 2024.
“This defendant repeatedly targeted women in their places of work and subjected them to degrading, traumatic conduct that no one should ever have to endure,” Edwards said.
Gang shooting and meth trafficking case
30-year-old Airrick Jamaal Middlebrooks was sentenced on Monday to 20 years with the first 12 to be served in prison after pleading guilty to aggravated assault, violating the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act and possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
Middlebrooks admitted involvement in a shooting on August 7, 2024, after an argument with a neighbor over trash. According to the Houston County Sheriff’s Office, Middlebrooks fired a handgun multiple times at the victim. The victim was unharmed. Investigators later uncovered evidence of Middlebrooks’ affiliation with the Gangster Disciples through social media.
Middlebrooks also pleaded guilty to involvement in a drug-selling operation at a home in Warner Robins. A search warrant executed in January 2022 recovered methamphetamine, drug distribution paraphernalia and firearms.
“Gang members go hand in hand with violence and drugs,” Assistant District Attorney Justin Duane said.
Child pornography and meth case
43-year-old Bryan Travis Santiago was sentenced Monday to 30 years with the first 10 to be served in prison after pleading guilty to possession of child pornography and possession of methamphetamine. Santiago will be subject to sex offender and drug offender conditions and will be required to register as a sex offender after his release.
According to the release, Santiago was stopped in August 2022 for not wearing a seatbelt. Deputies searched his vehicle and found methamphetamine and distribution paraphernalia. A separate investigation began after the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Internet Crimes Against Children division identified suspected child pornography linked to Santiago’s IP address. Investigators executed a search warrant at his home and found multiple images containing child pornography on several electronic devices.
“If you download and share naked pictures of little kids, our law enforcement will find out,” Duane said.
