Houston County SPLOST on Ballot in 2012

Tonight, Houston County leaders officially put the SPLOST back to a vote for next year.

At a special called meeting, Houston County Commissioners passed two resolutions to get the penny tax back on the ballot.

The first was an intergovernmental agreement between the three cities to make the tax valid for six years. The second resolution, put the item up for vote the same day as the presidential primaries, March 6, 2012.
