Houston County kindergarten registration to begin May 4

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Kindergarten registration for the 2015-2016 Houston County school year will begin May 4.

Parents who are interested in signing their child up may do so at the Central Registration office located in the Bert Rumble Complex at 303 South Davis Drive.

Registration for Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday is from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Students must be 5-years-old by September 1. Here are a list of items required to register a child:

• Parent/guardian photo ID
• Certified birth certificate
• Guardianship/custody orders if child does not live with parents
• Lease or mortgage statement
• Second proof of residence

Students who are already enrolled in the Pre-K school system will automatically be registered for kindergarten. Students who are transferring schools must register for the new school.
