Home burglar arrested in Macon neighborhood

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A burglary suspect is out of jail on bond after a homeowner called the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office to report a stranger in her home.

Authorities say Charlie Wells knocked on the door of 2140 Ingleside Road around 1:20 a.m. and walked in without permission, according to reports.

The homeowner says she witnessed the suspect coming out of her laundry room and then he took off running.

Authorities caught the suspect near Ingleside Avenue. Deputies took him to the BibbCountyLawEnforcementCenter.

Wells is charged with burglary.

According to the jail website, Wells was released from the LEC on a $1,150 bond.
