Holiday Miracles 12-17-10: The Hupp Family
Donald and his wife, Marilyn, have been through rough times financially, and for the second year in a row, they haven’t put up a Christmas tree.
“I watched my son for the last two years without a Christmas and it has broken my heart. For him to have Christmas, it would be such a joy”, said Marilyn Hupp.
“My son has always said, daddy don’t worry about it, if you don’t get me anything don’t worry about it, it’s fine. I would rather have you and mama,” said Donald Hupp.
Fifteen year old Brandon Hupp loves his family and for the last ten years, he’s had to go through more than your average 15 year old.
Brandon has a condition called Dilated Cardiomyopathy, it’s an enlargement of the heart.
It’s a condition that not only affected Brandon, but his brother and sister as well. Brandon’s Thirteen year old sister, Brittney died in 2003 and his twenty year old brother, Billy died just last year from the heart disorder. Despite the circumstances, the Hupp family has gotten closer and stronger each year. For Brandon and his family, this Christmas will be one to remember.
Thanks to our sponsors, we were able to help the Hupp family with providing Brandon some cloths, food, a DVD Player, and a boom box.
“I just appreciate what ya’ll have done and god bless you. I really am grateful,” said Mr. Hupp.
“It’s amazing, I can’t thank you all enough,” said Brandon.
A special thanks to our sponsors this year: State Bank & Trust, Ashley Furniture, Middle Georgia Honda Dealers, Macon Transfer, and Toys R Us.
