Hit TV show ‘Scandal’ star visits Mercer University
The show is based off of Smith’s life.
It follows a woman who “fixes” tough public relation issues for notable people such as the president.
Smith has worked with Monica Lewinsky, actor Wesley Snipes, and NFL quarterback Michael Vick.
Mercer’s student organization Quadworks brought Smith in to speak to about 120 people Wednesday evening on campus.
“Judy Smith is definitely a household name you know people come out and they listen to her,” said Mercer student Kathryn Boswell. “She was able to shed light on a self-help aspect which is the same aspect that’s taken in her book. And definitely just give a kind of homey feel to what we all see and what millions see across the nation.”
Smith wasn’t available for comment tonight, but she was able to share many personal and professional stories the students said they really enjoyed.
