Highs return to the 80s Wednesday

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Temperatures remain above average as October nears its end.
This Evening
It’s been a mostly sunny afternoon for the majority of Middle Georgia, but cloud cover is expected to ramp up some heading into tonight. This will lead to warmer overnight conditions as lows jump back above average into the mid to upper 50s. Wind will blow from the east at around 5 mph, so some patchy fog will be possible as well thanks to dew points hanging in the mid to upper 50s.
Tomorrow
Partly sunny skies are expected Wednesday as highs push into the lower 80s around the region. It will be a bit breezy from the southeast as well with winds blowing at 6-12 mph. Gusts could reach upwards of 17 mph.
Overnight expect scattered clouds overhead as muggy conditions hang around. Lows will be in the upper 50s and lower 60s with southeasterly wind blowing in at 5-10 mph. Patchy fog will again be possible, especially leading up to sunrise on Halloween.
The Tropics
The area to the south of Jamaica/Hispaniola still has a 40% chance to develop into a tropical depression within the next 7 days. It should drift east out to sea if it does develop.
