Three women arrested after high-speed chase from Macon to Roberta ends with crash

The suspects, who deputies say are linked to a series of thefts in Middle Georgia and metro Atlanta, were taken into custody after fleeing on foot following the crash.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A high-speed chase Friday that began in Macon and ended in Roberta led to the arrest of three women suspected in a series of thefts across Middle Georgia and metro Atlanta.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the pursuit started on Eisenhower Parkway with speeds exceeding 100 mph before the driver lost control and struck a utility pole following the deployment of spike strips.

The driver, 33-year-old Rodreeka Tyshun Monique Murry, along with passengers, 28-year-old Tamyra Shadae McAllister and 29-year-old Kiana Shantae Cummings, attempted to flee on foot but were quickly apprehended and taken into custody.

Murry was charged with misdemeanor theft by shoplifting, aggressive driving, driving on the wrong side of the road, aggravated assault, felony fleeing and eluding, and felony obstruction of law enforcement officers by use of threats or violence.

McAllister faces charges of misdemeanor theft by shoplifting, felony obstruction of law enforcement officers by use of threats or violence and misdemeanor probation violation.

Cummings was charged with misdemeanor theft by shoplifting, misdemeanor obstruction of law enforcement officers and felony probation violation.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says multiple law enforcement agencies assisted in the pursuit, including the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Georgia State Patrol and the Roberta Police Department.
