WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A man accused of stealing a Houston Health Care ambulance led police on a high-speed chase through Warner Robins before being arrested Wednesday morning, according to the Warner Robins Police Department.

Officers responded at 8:30 a.m. after the Houston 911 Center reported the stolen ambulance leaving Middle Flint Behavioral Health Center. Police spotted the vehicle speeding east on Feagin Mill Road near Feagin Mill Middle School, where they say the driver was operating recklessly.

The chase continued north on North Houston Lake Road and east on Russell Parkway before the suspect drove through an open field and into a ditch, causing significant damage to the ambulance. The vehicle then continued east before the Houston County Sheriff’s Office took over the chase. The driver eventually stopped in the roadway on Carl Vinson Parkway, where he was taken into custody. No injuries were reported.

Warner Robins police nor the Houston County Sheriff’s Office have confirmed the suspect’s name, but Houston County jail records show 29-year-old Brandon D’Shaun Hill was arrested around the same time and location and is facing multiple charges, including reckless driving, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, hit and run, criminal interference with government property and obstruction of officers. Records show he is being held on a $3,380 bond, with some charges carrying no bond.

Anyone with additional information should call the Warner Robins Police Department at (478) 302-5378 or Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68-CRIME.
