High school seniors announce college plans as part of 2nd annual Kappa League National Signing Day

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – 19 middle Georgia high school seniors announced where they’re headed to college as part of the second annual Kappa League National Signing Day. 

The event, put on by the Macon-Warner Robins Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., is aimed towards acknowledging the academic achievements and efforts put forth by young men in the middle Georgia community. 

Dozens of people came out to support the event.

The high school seniors plan on going to schools including Georgia Military College, Georgia Southern University, and even the Culinary Institute in Atlanta. 

The Kappa League program is aimed towards the educational, occupational, and social guidance of young men in middle school and high school. The primary focus revolves around five phases….

1. Self identity

2. Training

3. Competition

4. Social

5. Health Education

The seniors and their families attended the event at the historic Ballard-Hudson Macon Promise Center.
