Henry Ficklin Running for Bibb Commission, Says County Needs Experience in New Government
MACON, Ga. (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon Councilman Henry Ficklin says his decades of experience are what the county needs on its new consolidated government.
Ficklin Tuesday put his name in the hat for the District 2 seat, which covers citizens from north to south Bibb County.
Ficklin recently got back into public service, winning city council elections in 2010 and 2011.
He says with the design of the new government, the county needs experienced representation that people can rely on.
“Whether it’s elected officials or citizens, I will work with them to come up with solutions to solve problems that we face,” says Ficklin.
He calls himself a fiscal conservative who’s fought to keep taxes down, and says that he’ll continue to do so.
Earlier this month, councilman Larry Schlesinger announced he’ll also be running for the District 2 seat.
