Heaven Woods’ mother appears in Monroe County Superior Court

FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The woman accused of killing her 5-year-old daughter, Heaven Woods, has a motion hearing in Monroe County Superior Court Monday.

Court officials said the hearing started at 10 a.m.

In October, a judge set a $1 million dollar bond each  for 33-year-old Amanda Hendrickson and 34-year-old Roderick Buckner. Buckner is facing the same charges as Hendrickson. The couple was indicted February.

Woods was found unresponsive in her Brookwood Drive home in May 2014. The GBI and medical examiners’ investigation showed the child died after getting hit in the stomach. There were several other injuries as well.

Hendrickson plead not guilty in August. Buckner was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole after pleading guilty. The District Attorney’s office said it would seek the death penalty against Hendrickson.
