Halloween safety tips

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- Halloween is a fun time for many, but it’s one of the most dangerous days of the year.
A few things for trick-or-treaters to remember Monday night.

  • Make sure kids dress comfortable and avoid dark costumes.
  • Try to trick-or-treat in a familiar neighborhood and be aware of your surroundings.
  • Children should be supervised and accompanied by responsible adults.
  • Use side walks and remember to look both ways before you cross the street.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s office wants kids to be safe while joining in on the holiday. They suggest attending a party rather than trick-or-treating. They’ll be having a Halloween party Monday, October 31st from 5:30 p.m- 7:30 p.m at 2525 Pio Nono Avenue. There will be a haunted house, food, games, music, bounce houses and even a hay ride.
