Groups host back to school events around Middle Georgia

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Several groups are hosting back to school events this weekend. 

Back to School Bash Empowerment:

Saturday in the Life Center at the Warner Robins C.M.E. Church. 

Starts at 9:00 a.m. 

Features workshops on bullying and study tips. There will also be music, lunch, and school supplies giveaways. 

Back to School Bash:

Saturday at the Buck Melton Center in Macon. 

Free event is going on from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Each family can take home two backpacks filled with school supplies. There will also be a health fair and screenings .

Beulahland Bible Church Block Party:

Starts at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. 

There will be a moonwalk, rock wall, hot dogs, burgers and cotton candy. It’s free and children will be given free backpacks and school supplies.
