Governor suspends Alamo’s mayor from office

ALAMO, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Governor Nathan Deal has signed an executive order suspending the Alamo Mayor Debra Fountain.

Fountain, along with City Clerk Gail Brown, has been charged with one count of felony theft by taking.

State investigators have accused them of stealing government money.
