Getting heart healthy information at women’s symposium

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Some middle Georgia women learned how to get fit while having fun Saturday at Coliseum Health System’s 17th annual Women’s Symposium.

Organizers say the event, held at Mable White Baptist Church on Bass Road, is designed to encourage women to make healthy choices.

“This is a day of fun and education about how women be heart healthy,” says Robin Parker, Coliseum Health System Vice President of Marketing.

Guest speakers of the symposium gave testimonials about their health challenges. Dr. Jessica Williams, Coliseum’s OBGYN, served as mistress of ceremony.

“We are wanting to improve knowledge about health, nutrition and how to live longer,” Dr. Williams says.
