Georgia Southern names Chad Lunsford next football coach

STATESBORO, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Georgia Southern has decided to remove the interim tag from Chad Lunsford‘s title.

Lunsford was introduced as the school’s next football coach at a news conference Monday.

He’s 2-3 since taking over for Tyson Summers after the Eagles’ 0-6 start.

The 41-year-old is in his fifth year of a second stint as a coach in Statesboro.
