Georgia National Fair raising admission prices for 2026

Officials say rising costs are behind the increase while promising continued affordable entertainment

PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – If you are planning to attend the Georgia National Fair this year, you may notice a change in ticket prices.

Adult admission at the gate will increase from $15 to $20 on non-discounted days when paying cash.

Children ages 3 through 10 will now be charged $5 at the gate.

“It was not an easy decision for us to make,” marketing director Erin Flournoy said. “This is something that we talked about for months.”

Flournoy says rising costs over the past several years led to the increase.

“Operation costs for the fair have increased by 40%,” Flournoy said. “Just like everywhere else, we are feeling it too. Fairs and other events, and even personally, things are going up, and so we are also feeling that as well. So the cost increases for security, medical personnel. Staff has been increasing tremendously.”

Despite the increase, Flournoy says they are still focused on keeping the fair affordable and fun for everyone.

“We have nine free concerts that are new every year, high quality entertainment that you can see from $10 to $15 admission,” Flournoy said .”You’re not going to get that anywhere else.”
