Georgia Music Hall of Fame Decision Postponed

MACON – The Georgia Music Hall of Fame Authority is
postponing a decision on whether to move the museum from Macon.

Authority Chairwoman Karla Redding-Andrews had a family
emergency, so a meeting scheduled for Wednesday was canceled,
Executive Director Lisa Love says she’s trying to reschedule the
meeting for next week.

Athens, Macon, Dunwoody and Woodstock are competing for the
music hall. The nine-member authority, which could not agree on a
location at a January meeting, has an April deadline to choose one.

The board decided earlier not to accept the decision of an
evaluation committee that would have allowed the museum to stay in
Macon.
