Georgia Military College, Prep School closed Friday due to severe weather threat
Georgia Military College (GMC) has announced closures and event postponements for Friday, January 12, due to the potential for inclement weather.
MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Georgia Military College (GMC) has announced closures and event postponements for Friday, January 12, due to the potential for inclement weather.
In a statement posted on the GMC Facebook page Thursday, the school said it will be closed on Friday and that the closure applies to all students, faculty and staff at GMC Prep School and all of the Junior College’s campuses.
Additionally, GMC Prep School’s extracurricular activities, including scheduled basketball games, have been canceled. The basketball games will be rescheduled for a later date. GMC’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Ceremony has also been postponed. A new date and time for the ceremony will be announced in the future.
