Georgia’s SEC football schedules set for 2026–2029
The SEC has announced Georgia’s 2026–2029 football schedules, keeping Auburn, Florida and South Carolina as annual rivals while adding matchups with Oklahoma, Texas and Texas A&M.

ATHENS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Southeastern Conference announced Tuesday night the 2026 through 2029 football schedules for Georgia and the league’s 15 other teams.
According to a UGA Athletics news release, the Bulldogs will face Auburn, Florida and South Carolina every season during that four-year stretch as part of the SEC’s plan to maintain traditional rivalries. The league will re-evaluate those annual matchups after each cycle.
In 2026, Georgia will host Auburn, Missouri, Vanderbilt and Oklahoma, while playing Florida in Atlanta, South Carolina, Alabama, Arkansas and Ole Miss on the road. That season will also mark the first time Georgia plays Oklahoma since the Sooners joined the SEC in 2024. UGA holds a 1-0 record against Oklahoma, with the win coming in the 2018 Rose Bowl.
Due to renovations at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville, the Georgia-Florida rivalry game will be played in Atlanta in 2026, in Tampa in 2027 and back in Jacksonville for 2028 and 2029.
The 2027 slate will send Georgia to Auburn, Texas A&M and Texas for the first time, while also including home games against LSU, Mississippi State, Tennessee and South Carolina.
In 2028, the Bulldogs will travel to Oklahoma for the first time and will also host Auburn, Florida, Alabama, Arkansas and Ole Miss.
Georgia’s 2029 schedule includes road games at Auburn, LSU, Mississippi State and Tennessee, while hosting Florida, South Carolina, Kentucky, Texas and Texas A&M.
The SEC announced in August it will move to a nine-game conference format in 2026. Each school will play three annual opponents, with the remaining six games rotating to ensure all teams face one another both home and away over four years.
The release said home and away designations were made to balance existing non-conference commitments and provide seven home games per season when possible. The SEC also requires schools to schedule at least one non-conference opponent each season from the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12 or Notre Dame.
The complete 2026 SEC schedule, including game dates, will be released later this year, according to UGA Athletics.
Georgia, currently ranked No. 5, will host No. 17 Alabama at Sanford Stadium this Saturday at 7:30 p.m. on ABC.
