Georgia Drug Dealer Sentenced To 14 Years In Prison

ATLANTA (AP) – Federal prosecutors say a metro Atlanta drug dealer has been sentenced to 14 years in prison.

Officials said Tuesday that 43-year-old Otis Henry was a major distributor of BZP – a drug similar to ecstasy – and marijuana. Authorities say Henry was involved in drug trafficking from at least February to October of 2010.

Police executed a search warrant at his home in October 2010 and found 700,000 BZP tablets hidden in the walls, behind insulation, in crawl spaces and underneath seat cushions.

Authorities also recovered 2 pounds of marijuana, 150 grams of methamphetamine, a handgun and $39,000 in cash.

Prosecutors say Henry fled after the warrant was served and avoided arrest for more than a year.

He was arrested in January 2012 at a hotel in Tampa, Fla.
