Georgia Doom suspends operations for remainder of season

Players thank fans for all of the support

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Georgia Doom canceled the remainder of their games for the 2019 season, CEO Kevin Adkins confirms.

Adkins says he wants to take the arena football team in a different direction.

Georgia Doom head coach James Lal says he just learned of the cancellation on Thursday afternoon.

Lal says he spoke with some of his players throughout the day.  “The mutual opinion from everyone is disappointment,” he said.

Kevin Adkins says he wants to move the team to Mcdonough, Georgia.

This was news to the head coach who claims he knew nothing about moving the team.

Lal thanks the fans for all of their support.
