Georgia College students dance to raise money for Children’s Hospital
They took part in the school’s 11th annual dance marathon fundraiser for Children’s Hospital of Medical Center, Navicent Health.
Last year’s event raised $54,000 with 300 dancers. This year, the goal is to raise $65,000.
“We’re dancing and we’re standing and we’re celebrating all the kids who can’t be here,” says Georgia College Miracle Public Relations Chair, Emily Waller. “They’re in the hospital right now. So we’re raising money for them, to benefit them.”
Proceeds from the dance marathon will help fund enhancements inside the Children’s Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
