GDC: Macon State Prison inmate dies after ‘altercation’ with roommate
A Georgia Department of Corrections spokesperson identified the inmate who died as Kenneth Malcom.

OGLETHORPE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Macon State Prison inmate died on Monday after an altercation with his roommate.
That’s according to a Georgia Department of Corrections spokesperson, who identified the inmate who died as Kenneth Malcom.
The body has been turned over to the coroner and will be taken to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) Crime Lab for an autopsy. The death is being investigated by the GDC’s Office of Professional Standards. Additional details are not yet available since the investigation is ongoing.
GDC says Malcom was serving life without parole for a murder charge out of Walton County.
