GC Volleyball Falls in Three to Flagler
MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. (GCSU RELEASE) – The Georgia College volleyball squad (3-11, 1-6 PBC) fell in straight sets to 2012 NCAA Tournament participant Flagler College (9-5, 5-2 PBC) 25-16, 25-18 and 25-11 Saturday night at the Centennial Center.
The Bobcats got a team-best 11 kills from Rachel Reynolds (Marietta, Ga.), hitting .231. Just three other Bobcats recorded kills on the night, with Rachel Rice (Johns Creek, Ga.) and Caroline Long (Roswell, Ga.) posting five each.
Micayla Patterson (Tyrone, Ga.) had 18 assists to go with six digs. Ashton Bigler (Fairborn, Ga.) and Caroline Ham (Marietta, Ga.) shared the team lead in digs with seven, Ham contributing to the offense with three aces and three assists.
The Bobcats hit .080, bettered by Flagler’s .436. The Saints got 12 kills from Abby Myers and 10 from Emilee Taylor. Taylor picked up a double-double with 10 digs as well.
The Bobcats are back in action Friday, Oct. 4 at 7 p.m., traveling to UNC Pembroke.
