GC Men’s Cross Country Remains in Region Poll

NEW ORLEANS (GCSU RELEASE) – The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released its regional poll Tuesday, and the Bobcat men dropped three spots to 10th.

This will be the fifth-consecutive week the Bobcats have been ranked in the region poll, after finishing second in the Captain Chris Invitational Saturday.

Six Peach Belt Conference (PBC) schools are now in the top-10, while Mount Olive College holds on to the top spot. Columbus State University leads the way for the PBC in the second slot, with GRU Augusta two spots behind them in fourth. Flagler College and UNC Pembroke are ranked sixth and seventh, respectively, while Clayton State University makes its way into the poll in eighth.

The Bobcats’ next event will be the PBC Championships Oct. 26 in Americus, Ga. hosted by Georgia Southwestern State University.
