GC Men’s Basketball Announces 2013-14 Schedule
MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. (GCSU RELEASE) – The Georgia College men’s basketball team and long-time head coach Terry Sellers are proud to unveil the 2013-14 Bobcat men’s basketball schedule.
The Bobcats open up the season at home in the Centennial Center in a non-conference matchup versus Clark Atlanta University Monday, Nov. 11 at 7:30 p.m.
The Bobcats then travel to Augusta competing in Paine College Classic Nov. 15 and 16.
The team opens up Peach Belt Conference (PBC) play Monday, Dec. 2 at Francis Marion University in Florence, S.C. The first home conference game for the Bobcats will be Jan. 4 against the University of North Georgia.
Over winter break, the team will travel to Greenwood, S.C. facing Lenior-Rhyne University and the College of Coastal Georgia in the Finis Horne Holiday Classic Dec. 21 and 22.
Throughout the month of January, Sellers and the Bobcats will be challenged with nine PBC games looking to bounce back from a tough 2012-13 campaign which saw the Bobcats finish 5-14 in the conference. Defending PBC Champion and No. 20 USC Aiken invades the Centennial Center Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 7:30 p.m.
Georgia College will welcome Columbus State University to the Centennial Center for the annual Homecoming game Feb. 15 with Senior Day finishing up the home schedule Feb. 26 against Lander University.
Sellers and company finish up the season on the road in PBC play against Armstrong Atlantic State University March 1.
The young Bobcats will look for leadership from their two senior guards Aaron Robinson and Royal Thomas to guide them in PBC play. Sellers, in his 21st season, has 331 career wins at GC and will look to reach the 350-win milestone this season.
