GC Golf’s Fox Named PBC Golfer of the Week
AUGUSTA, Ga. (GCSU RELEASE) – For the second time in the past three weeks, senior Bryan Fox (Roswell, Ga.) of the Georgia College golf team was named Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Golfer of the Week.
Fox finished in second place and was the low PBC finisher at the Jay Jennison Memorial tournament, hosted by Flagler College in St. Augustine, Fla. The senior fired rounds of 74-70-69 to finish at three-under-par 213, just one stroke behind Queens University’s Alex Weare for the medalist title.
Fox’s third-round 69 was the low round of the day and the only round in the 60s shot in the 17-team, 90-player field. Through three events this season, Fox has two top-10s and leads the Peach Belt with a 71.5 stroke average.
The Bobcats are back in action Monday, Sept. 30 at the Aflac/Cougar Invitational in Columbus, Ga.
