GC athletic teams gather for Make-A-Wish
The Georgia College Student-Advisory Committee (SAAC) hosted the event for the second year under the guidance of Assistant Director of Athletics Ginger Chaffinch, who serves as the SAAC Advisor.
“It was a great night,” said Chaffinch. “We had about 150 people at the dance and raised about $1,800. The student-athletes got to relax and have a great time and we raised money for a great cause.”
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is an organization that helps grant wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. The foundation has enriched the lives of thousands of children through its wish-granting work.
“This is just another great thing where the student-athletes can come together for a great cause,” added assistant athletic director and tennis coach Steve Barsby.
