GBI investigating after 2 teen brothers shot while sleeping in Gordon

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is investigating an aggravated assault after two 14-year-old brothers were shot early Monday morning while they were asleep in their Gordon home, according to a news release from the GBI.

GORDON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is investigating an aggravated assault after two 14-year-old brothers were shot early Monday morning while they were asleep in their Gordon home, according to a news release from the GBI.

Just after midnight on Monday,  someone outside began firing into a home on Zollie Lavender Road. The two teens were struck by bullets while in bed, and both were taken to a local hospital, where they received treatment and were later released.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation continues. The GBI encourages anyone with information to contact their Milledgeville Regional Investigative Office at (478) 445-4173.
