FVSU falls at Tuskegee, 35-28
TUSKEGEE, Alabama (41NBC/WMGT) – Down by a touchdown with less than a minute to go, Fort Valley State had the ball but couldn’t come up with a score as the Wildcats fell to Tuskegee Saturday, 35-28.
FVSU (3-2, 2-1 SIAC) led 14-7 at the half thanks to a 2-yard touchdown run by quarterback Malcolm Eady and a 60-yard fumble return by defensive end Niykiem Floyd.
The Golden Tigers (3-2, 2-1 SIAC) opened the second half with a bang, tying the game on an 89-yard kickoff return touchdown by Hoderick Lowe. The Tigers’ Jawell Ratliff picked off an Eady pass on the Wildcats’ next drive and returned it 42 yards to give Tuskegee the lead for good.
FVSU is back home Saturday, October 11 against Kentucky State (2-3, 1-1 SIAC). Kickoff is at 2 p.m.
