FVSU postpones Clark Atlanta football game to November 12
The game moves to November 12 at 6 p.m. FVSU also postponed its open house and canceled weekend events at university facilities.

FORT VALLEY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Fort Valley State University has postponed Saturday’s football game against Clark Atlanta until next month and announced other changes to weekend activities, citing concerns about Tropical Storm Isaias.
The game was originally scheduled for Saturday, October 10 at 1 p.m. It will now be played Thursday, November 12 at 6 p.m. at Wildcat Stadium.
Season ticket holders can use their tickets for the rescheduled game. Single-game ticket holders will receive a credit for the Nov. 12 game or may request a refund. For information, contact FVSU Athletics at (478) 825-6522.
The university also postponed its open house because of anticipated inclement weather and possible lingering impacts. A new date will be announced later.
Saturday’s Upward Bound program and all weekend events using university facilities are canceled. FVSU says it will make a decision regarding weekend classes Thursday, October 8.
For residential students, dining services will move to the Wildcat Commons Clubhouse on Saturday and Sunday. Sodexo will provide meals during normal weekend hours.
The university is encouraging students, faculty and staff on campus to shelter in place and remain indoors during inclement weather. They should avoid unnecessary travel and outdoor activity, monitor official university communications and follow guidance from university and local emergency management officials.
FVSU says students and employees should check their email for the full campus weather update and emergency contacts.
