A clear and cool afternoon will lead to a clear and frigid night as temperatures drop to around freezing through the late evening and into the low to mid 20s by tomorrow morning. Middle Georgians will need to drip their faucets to avoid plumbing disasters. Any outdoor pets should be brought indoors as well. The wind will be gentle from the northwest as it stays around 5 mph.

The End of the Week

Following another sunny day Thursday the odds for precipitation will climb after clouds move in Thursday night. While rain is expected, the odds for wintry precipitation cannot be ruled out with the low pressure track at this point expected to be southeast of the region. This will keep the moisture content up even while temperatures are cold, the question is will they be cold enough. Plan to not need to go anywhere Friday evening/early Saturday.
