Warm and sunny will become mild and clear as the evening progresses around Middle Georgia. The wind will remain light from the southwest around 5 mph. Like last night there could be some fog leading into the sunrise hours tomorrow morning. Temperatures will valley in the upper 50s and lower 60s.

A mostly sunny and hot end to the week is expected for Middle Georgia as temperatures will push towards 90 degrees in several locations. The hottest spots will likely get there. The wind will be a bit breezy from the west at 6-12 mph with gusts ranging from 15-20 mph. Those spending a lot of time outside should wear sunblock! The UV Index will be over 8 so it will take a half hour or less before skin damage begins.

An incoming cold front will shift the wind direction overnight to out of the north-northwest. Sustained speeds will range from 7-15 mph and gusts will reach as high as 30 mph. No rain is expected with this front and only a handful of clouds are anticipated as well. Temperatures will drop into the mid 50s for most of the region heading into the start of Saturday.

This Weekend and Beyond

If there’s going to be a cloudy part to the weekend it will be early Saturday. This is also the only chance for any rain (which would be one or two tiny showers). Sunny skies and seasonal temperatures are likely both Saturday and Sunday afternoon. The wind will be strong from the northeast on Saturday as gusts range from 20-30 mph. Sunday will still be breezy however the wind will flow from the east-southeast instead. Temperatures in the 80s will return early next week.
