Freedom Park Community Center Teaching Kids How to Fish
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Parents, if you’ve been looking for a way to get your kids off the couch and into the outdoors, listen up.
There’s an opportunity for them to learn how to fish right here in Macon, and it’s only $3 per kid!
The three-part class will happen at Freedom Park Community Center on Roff Avenue in the Payne City Community starting Monday, November 4.
It was actually supposed to start on October 28, but center director Clarence Thomas says nobody took advantage!
The first night of the class will be inside the community center. The second night, kids get to head out to the lake at the park. Finally, they get to test out their skills on the big water at Lake Tobesofkee.
The class is for kids ages 4 to 12. It’s from 6 to 7 p.m. on November 4, 11, and 18. The $3 cost covers bait and tackle.
