FPD looking to avenge 2013 playoff loss
FPD averaged nearly 30 points a game last season, and will benefit from having seven returning starters, including OL Palmer Haynes, WR Jonathan Raines, and RB/WR Jam Morris.
“Jam did a lot of great things for us last year,” Coach Moore said about his star running back, “Every time he got a chance to touch the ball, he did a super thing with it.”
The team will have their quarterback, Will McCormick, also coming back and Coach Moore says he’ll be a central figure to the team’s offense, “Will’s a smart kid… He might be United States president one day, he’s that guy and very well respected in the huddle.”
The defense will be more of a question mark with only three starters back. However, that includes LB Noah Groover whom Coach Moore hopes will take more of a leadership role and was named defensive captain by his teammates.
The FPD Vikings will take on Barney Hester and the Howard Huskies for their first game on August 29th.
