Four-year-old lights Navicent Health’s Children’s Tree

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Children’s Hospital, Navicent Health is officially ready for the holiday season.

The annual Children’s Tree lighting ceremony took place Tuesday night. 4-year-old Jael Wallace from Dublin, Georgia is a patient at the hospital. She lit the tree in honor of all the young patients just like her.

“It’s exciting for me. It’s something for her to do. She doesn’t get out a lot so it’s something for her to get out an do and something for us to look back on when she gets older and, hopefully, her condition is better than what it is now,” said Jael’s mom, Shamekia Wallace.

Kohl’s donated more than $32,000 to Children’s Hospital, Navicent Health. The money will be used for a child passenger safety awareness program.
