Four arrested on theft charges in Macon

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb Sheriff’s deputies made four arrests in connection with a theft by taking incident.

48-year-old Tanya D. Sowash, 21-year-old Joshua W. McGill, 27-year-old William J. Thompson and 37-year old Robert O. Aycock are all charged with felony theft by taking.

According to a news release, the incident happened in the 3600 block of Eisenhower Parkway Tuesday around 1:30 a.m.

Deputy Abushanab conducted a routine traffic stop when he noticed a Chevy truck  driving slowly with the lights off near Central Georgia Technical College.

Abshanab noticed a large amount of steel rebar in the back of the trunk.

After further investigation deputies determined the steel was from a Central Georgia Technical College construction site.

Each suspects have a $4,050.00 bond. Thompson also has a hold in Warner Robins and Aycock in Crawford County.
