Forsythia Festival organizers announce two new acts for blues concert
FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – With the Forsythia Festival just days away, organizers are getting ready to kick it all off with the second annual Forsythia Blues concert.
The Monroe County Fine Arts Center announced two additional acts coming to the stage at on Sunday–Kirk West and Robert Lee Coleman.
Fine Arts Event Coordinator Patrick Hamilton says the line up features a variety of legendary blues artists that are sure to bring people out.
“Some of these artists were a little bit behind the scenes. They’ve worked with huge names. They’re raw, they’re great musicians and some of the best that you’ll find around and the opportunity to see them all in one place at the fine arts center is just one that you don’t want to miss,” Hamilton said.
Other names on the list of performers include Big Bill Morganfield, Newton Collier, The Crossroads Band, Chicago Blues singer, harp player Sherry Paul, and Rick Maxwell from the Atlanta Rhythm Section.
The concert starts at 7:00 PM on Sunday. Tickets are $20 each and you can purchase your tickets here.
