Forsyth teen killed in single-car accident
FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A teenager is dead after a single-car accident on Highway 42 near Montpelier Springs Rd. Sunday morning.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, four people were traveling in a Chevrolet Camaro when it went off the road, hit an embankment and went airborne. The car struck multiple trees on the side of the highway. Investigators say the road was wet at the time of the accident.
William Dustin Fischer, 18, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was a passenger in the car.
The driver and two other passengers were taken to the hospital. Their condition is unknown.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident.
