Forsyth: Outdoor Watering Ban Implemented

The City of Forsyth is now under an outdoor watering ban. You can’t use a hose or sprinkler until June 13. Monroe County E.M.A. Director, Matthew Perry, says this is a preventative measure to handle drought conditions. Also, the city is currently conducting routine maintenance by changing filters to treat city water.

Perry says the move to implement this ban is to ensure the city stays ahead of the drought.

There are a couple of exceptions, if you planted sod recently you can water it up to 30 days from the planting date. If you have a pool, you can fill it to meet the required levels to keep those using the pool safe.
