Forsyth business owner could feel effects of cable change
Residents are excited about gaining new channels and faster internet.
Forsyth Mayor John Howard says the prices may go up.
But Flint River Communications should provide better customer service.
David Barker owns The Anvil Room downtown.
He says the cable service has served him well so far.
“I understand price increases simply because of the economics,” said Barker. “I would hope they didn’t go up, but if they do, I understand price increases.”
“It’s nice that a larger company will pick it up to improve the service,” he continued.
Residents will continue to pay their bill at city hall until November.
Most of the $1.5 million the city gained in the deal will go toward city reserves.
