Forsyth police: 3-year-old shot, flown to Atlanta hospital
The GBI and Forsyth Police Department are investigating after a 3-year-old was shot and was airlifted to Atlanta for surgery.

FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating after a three-year-old was shot in Forsyth on Sunday, according to a news release from the Forsyth Police Department.
Police said the child’s parent arrived at a local hospital around 1:10 p.m. and reported that the child had accidentally shot themself. The child was airlifted to a hospital in Atlanta and is undergoing surgery, according to the release.
The GBI and Forsyth Police Department are conducting a joint investigation.
Once the investigation is complete, it will be turned over to the Towaliga District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
